The final funeral rites of Ghana’s former President Jerry John Rawlings began with a Catholic Requiem Mass at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Accra on Sunday, January 24, 2021.
In attendance were the bereaved family, friends and loved ones of the late president.
He will be laid in state for two days, thus January 25 and 26, 2021, for the world to pay their last respect.
The burial service is scheduled for Wednesday, January 27, 2021.
Former President Jerry John Rawlings died from an unknown illness on November 12, 2020. He died at 73.
