Less attention is given to artists who can project Ghana internationally- E.L

Ghanaian rapper, Elom Adablah professionally known as E.L. has revealed that artists who can project Ghana positively in other countries are not given the necessary attention that they need.

The award-winning rapper was speaking in relation to how other artists in Nigeria are making waves through their music in other countries.

According to him, it is possible for Ghanaians to also promote their talents in European countries but the key industry players must support the artists and encourage them for their efforts.

‘‘We are not giving enough priority, we are not giving enough resources to the right people and the people we are paying attention to I am sorry to say, most of the artists who we are really paying attention to are not going to take Ghana music as far as we want them to’’, he said in an interview monitored by The Ghana Report on TV3.

Speaking on some Ghanaian artists whom he believes must be given the necessary attention, the ‘KOKO’ hitmaker said, ” I could name names like, Worlasi, Bongo Blay, there are some artists who are doing good and I’m happy to see it, Black Sherif, Gyakie and I’m glad to see it, we need more of that because that is what is going to take us there, period’’.

“We need to have a shift of that mindset that we want future stuff, we want to transcend, let’s pay attention to these artists, these artistes are going to get us there. they are our local brands’, he added.
