Legon Cities will double their effort against Asante Kotoko – Prosper Ogum

Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum is wary of the threat Legon Cities will pose to his team in their Ghana Premier League clash on Wednesday night.

The Royals have not had a great start to the campaign, as they remain without a win and sit at the bottom of the table with just two points from seven games played.

Ogum noted that matches against struggling teams are tricky and emphasized the need for his players to avoid complacency, as Legon Cities will be looking to use this game as a turning point in their season.

“I mean, he who is down fears no fall. They are not in a very good position, and they would want to use this to revamp their hopes in the league,” he said in his pre-match interview.

“So, I’m sure they will come at us in multiple ways—in terms of effort, commitment, and the desire to play well and get the maximum points.

“So, we have to be very careful. We also have to make sure that we stay focused and don’t let complacency set in.”

Asante Kotoko have an opportunity to go joint-top of the league table if they win as they are currently second on the table with 15 points.
