Late Goal Saves Black stars From Blushing

Ghana has beaten Angola’s Palanacas Negras by a lone goal.

The golden moment was executed in a scrappy goal-mouth melee.

It was a dogfight in the opponent’s area after a cross from the right, which pinned the Angolans deep in their own half.

If luck is anything in such contests, then it did smile on Ghana because the ball eluded a Ghanaian player seconds earlier and was pushed back but remained around the goal line until the opportunistic moment fell to Antoine Semenyo who did justice to it.

Angolan resolve was broken, and their bubble burst in the eleventh hour. Ghana stays three points clear on top of the group.
