Kumasi Asante Kotoko head coach Prince Yaw Owusu has expressed his displeasure over midfielder Hubert Gyau’s choices in front of goal.
The interim head coach of the Porcupine Warriors voiced his unhappiness after Kotoko’s goalless draw with Vision FC at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
The draw continues a frustrating run of results for Kotoko who had two losses and a 2-0 win over Young Apostles prior to the draw against Vision FC.
Addressing the media after the game, Prince Owusu was disappointed with Gyau’s decision to shoot the ball hard instead of applying a side foot attempt.
“For the past two weeks, we’ve been having a problem with Gyau in the final third.”

“He had a ball in the first half it was just a tap in (that was needed but) he always wants to shoot and even in the warm up [it came up] so on my way to the dressing room I told him, please just tap it in.”

“You are standing in front of the post you don’t need to shoot the ball that hard and he had difficulty to tap the ball in” Prince Owusu said.
Gyau is widely regarded as one of the best midfielders in the Ghana Premier League.
