Kotoko fires head coach Maxwell Konadu
Ghana Premier League giant Kumasi Asante Kotoko has terminated their three-year contract with the head coach, Maxwell Konadu.
The Porcupine Warriors have failed to impress in the ongoing Ghana Premier League recording just a win after five rounds of matches.
According to the club, assistant coach Johnson Smith takes over immediately as the acting head coach.
News of the dismissal of Maxwell Konadu comes in hours after the club tasted their first defeat of the season in the hands of fifth-placed Accra Great Olympic.
It was an outstanding fixture week three fixture.
Kotoko is currently at the 11th spot on the league table with a game to play.
Maxwell Konadu was appointed for a second stint in 2019 following the sacking of Norwegian Kjetil Zachariassen.
He is the fourth coach under the tenure of Kotoko Board Chair, Dr Kwame Kyei, to be sacked within the last two years.
The club in a Twitter post confirmed this.
