Kotoko express strong interest in Bofoakwa Emmanuel Ankrah

Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have set sights on securing the services of Bofoakwa Tano defender Emmanuel Ankrah ahead of the new season.

The Porcupine Warriors are in the market searching for quality players to beef up their squad following a disappointing performance last term.

Kotoko struggled in the recently concluded Ghana Premier League campaign, finishing sixth on the standings.

However, the Ghanaian giants have so far released 22 players to make way for new additions before the season commences in September this year.

According to reports, Kotoko have made the teen sensation a transfer priority and are determined to secure his signature for the 2024/25 season.

The defender, who has two-years left on his exiting contract with Bofoakwa Tano has reached agreement with the Porcupine Warriors over his transfer.

Despite their relegation, the 19-year-old was a standout performer in the league and the FA Cup, as the Sunyani-based club reached the final of the Cup competition.

Ankrah is also on the wish-list of Ghana Premier League newcomers Young Apostles.
