A man has been crushed to death by a hit-and-run driver in Koforidua, the Eastern regional capital.
The accident reportedly happened on the morning of Thursday, January 26 on the Abriwa-Nkwanta Oyoko Road near S.D.A Training College School Park.
According to Mr. Herbert Danso, the Municipal Director of the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO), the body of the deceased was found in a pool of blood with bruises and a severe head injury.
He said, together with personnel from the Municipal Police Command they went to the scene to take inventories and conveyed the body to the Koforidua Regional Hospital.
Officials, however, claim the deceased was mentally unstable.
