Kofi Amoabeng stuns with dance moves at Christmas party
Mr Prince Kofi Amoabeng, the 72-year-old former founder and Chief Executive Officer of the defunct UT Bank, has captivated social media with his lively display of youthful energy at a Christmas party.
In a video shared on his social media platforms, the septuagenarian and former military officer is seen energetically engaging in a dance battle with a young man, much to the delight of viewers.
Mr Amoabeng, known for his disciplined lifestyle and fitness routines, captioned the video: “It was all fun today! Hosted these kids in my house at Kukurantumi to have a Christmas party.”
The party was part of the PKA Leadership Foundation’s activities for children who emerge top in their respective classes in his hometown, Kukurantumi, in the Eastern Region.
He has been hosting such parties for the past 20 years, where the children sit to eat, party, and have fun. No child leaves his house without a gift. The goal is to encourage the children to stay in school and take their studies seriously.
The video has sparked widespread admiration, with many praising Amoabeng’s zest for life and commitment to staying active. On X (formerly Twitter), user @IamEdenMAYA commented, “Lesson learned here: there is no point struggling and neglecting yourself. Get in shape, work hard, and most importantly, live. Well done, Captain 🧑✈️.”
Another user, @TurnToNature233, highlighted the benefits of maintaining a youthful outlook, stating, “This is one of the secrets to longevity. Surround yourself with kids, inherit some of their energy, and you will remain young at heart. I love this.”
Beyond his active social life, Amoabeng is an avid golfer and frequently shares videos showcasing his rigorous workout routines, which include gym sessions and other fitness activities.
Currently, he dedicates his efforts to the PK Amoabeng Leadership Foundation, a platform committed to delivering strategic and transformational leadership programmes for practising and aspiring leaders in the SME and corporate sectors.
Mr. Amoabeng’s infectious enthusiasm and positive outlook continue to inspire Ghanaians across generations, proving that age, indeed, is just a number.
