Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has officially commenced the enforcement of a stringent dress code policy designed to uphold a respectable and conducive academic atmosphere, especially within its library facilities.
A notice posted at the KNUST Libraries specifies what the university deems inappropriate clothing for both male and female students.
As per the guidelines displayed, the attire that is not acceptable for men includes shirts with deep necklines, sleeveless tops or vests, sagging trousers worn below the waist, boxer shorts, shorts that are above knee length, and caps.

For women, the notice enumerates crop tops, biker pants, outfits with deep-cut cleavage, midriff-baring tops, short shorts or hot pants, short revealing skirts, and caps as inappropriate.
The notice also states that individuals found to be indecently dressed will be denied entry to the library or may be asked to leave the premises.
It also underscores that any outfit deemed unsuitable for lectures should likewise not be worn in the library.
