King Faisal picks to Assin-Fosu as new home
Ghana Premier League side, King Faisal, is set to adopt the Assin Fosu Jumsco Park as venue for their home fixtures in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
This follows the temporal closure of the Baba Yara Sports Stadium by the National Sports Authority for renovation works.
The Baba Yara Sports Stadium has been selected to commemorate Ghana’s 63rd Independent Anniversary.
This has forced Asante Kotoko and King Faisal FC to opt for alternative home venues to honor their league games in the Ghana Premier League.
Reports indicate that relegation-threatened King Faisal has settled on the Jumsco Park in Assin Fosu for the rest of their home games pending approval by the Ghana Football Association Club Licensing Board.
President and Bankroller of Faisal Babies, Alhaji Karim Grunsah disclosed in an interview that the club is also considering Konongo and Bekwai as alternative venues if the GFA disapproves Assin-Fosu.
If approved on time, King Faisal will take on Legon Cities in today’s match-day eleven fixture at their new home base.
