Kerry Washington congratulates Genevieve Nnaji on ‘Lionheart’ nomination for 2020 Oscars
Genevieve Nnaji’s hard work seems to have paid off as she is gradually representing the Nigerian film industry on the world stage.
Recently, the Nollywood actress made headlines after it was reported that her highly patronised movie ‘Lionheart’ had been selected by the Nigerian Oscars Selection Committee (NOSC) for consideration at the 2020 Oscars.
The news was met with widespread jubilation among Nigerians and even foreigners, including American actress Kerry Washington who has yet congratulated Genevieve on the achievement.
‘Lionheart’ will be competing under the International Feature Film category with other major films.
In a post on Twitter, the ‘Scandal’ star described the feat as a “glorious” one.
Kerry went further to invite Genevieve for a lunch date in Igbo language.
