Kennedy Agyapong to face disciplinary committee over Akufo-Addo, Bawumia threats

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer hopeful, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, is set to face the party’s disciplinary committee for threatening President Nana Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia. 

Mr Agyapong, was heard in a viral video threatening to give the president and his vice president a showdown for allegedly chasing his agents away during the just-ended NPP super delegates congress on Saturday.

“President Akufo-Addo, I will give you a showdown in this country, I swear to God. Vice President, I will give you a showdown for chasing my agent away. I swear to God. You will hear what will happen here. I swear to God, I will challenge President Akufo-Addo big time,” he said.

Following the threats, the NPP, in a statement condemning the pockets of violence that occurred at some centres summoned Mr Agyapong and four others.

The four others are Rapheal Patrick Sarfo, Charles Dokyi Yaw Addo, Musa Sulemana and Hopeson Yaovi Adorye.

The party assured that the disciplinary process will be conducted with fairness, transparency and impartiality.
