One of two police officers shot at Kasoa while manning a barrier has been laid to rest.
The late Inspector Michael Dotse Dzeamesi was laid to rest in his hometown, Dagbamate in the Akatsi South District in the Volta region Saturday.
He was survived by five children and four ex-wives, JoyNews’ Fred Quame Asare reported.
Inspector Dzeamesi was shot together with Lance Corporal Awal Mohammed on August 28, at Kosoa in the Central region.
Vice President Dr Mahamaudu Bawumia, who led a government delegation to the funeral, lauded the charisma of the late peace officer.
The government presented the bereaved family ¢10,000 to cater for the funeral expenses.
