Karela United set to appoint Nurudeen Amadu as head coach

Karela United are on the verge of appointing Nurudeen Amadu as the head coach of the club.

The 2023/24 Ghana Premier League winning coach will replace Jimmy James Corbblah.

Amadu’s imminent arrival at Karela United comes on the heels of his departure from FC Samartex 1996. The veteran Ghanaian gaffer left the club after a five-match winless streak.

He guided FC Samartex to their maiden Premier League title last season, a historic feat in only their second campaign in Ghana’s top flight.

Now tasked with turning Karela’s fortunes around, the former Wa All Stars and King Faisal tactician is expected to bring his vast experience to bear to lift the club — currently in 16th position on the league log — from their relegation struggle to a respectable mid-table position.

Karela United will travel to play Nsoatreman FC in the Matchday 17 games at the Nana Kronmansah Sports Complex this weekend.

It is expected that Karela United will officially unveil Nurudeen Amadu this weekend.
