Former President, John Dramani Mahama joined the family of the late Brigadier-General, Martin Ahiaglo (Rtd). on Wednesday to share in their grief as arrangements for the funeral appears to have been finalised by the family.
The family used the opportunity to officially inform the former President of the funeral arrangements.
The late Brigadier-General was the husband to the former Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Madam Dzifa Abla Gomashie.
He was a former Director General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA) and also a former General Officer commanding the Southern Command.
Paying tribute to the late General, the former President described the late Ahiaglo as a good manager and disciplinarian noting that it was a quality he brought to bear at the NLA.
“When I needed someone with strong discipline to take charge of the NLA the choice naturally fell on him,” President Mahama said.
Joining the former President to receive the family were Messrs; Julius Debrah, Prosper Bani, Joyce Bawah Mogtari and Kenneth Adjei.
The late husband of Dzifa Gomashie, Brigadier General Martin K.G Ahiaglo(Rtd) died after battling with an unknown ailment for some months.
