Jesse Morgan recruits Celestine Donkor for inspiring single, Wataban (Wings of God)
During a difficult period for many across the world, US-based Ghanaian gospel musician Jesse Morgan finds a reason to remind Christians to keep their faith in God, in his new single Wataban (Wings of God).
The song which is inspired by the sacred word found in Psalm 91 that “he that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty…”, features Celestine Donkor and is scheduled for release on Friday February 10. The song is touted to offer comfort and hopes for the distressed.
Speaking to Joy Entertainment, Jesse Morgan stated that “The inspiration of this record stems from Psalm 91, but also, Isaiah 40:31 promises a supernaturally renewed strength that would compare to mounting up as an eagle or running without fatigue. It’s never over until God says it’s over. I’ve made this conscious decision that I’ll forever dwell in the shadow of God where I’m secured of safety”.
The US-based Ghanaian talented songwriter and composer, who has honed his skills over the years with singing stints in churches throughout his youth, added, “I pray this song blesses you and moves you from obscurity to a place of fulfilment in all areas of your life”.
Jesse’s unique blend of intimate worship, along with the added element of high energy, which essentially is attributed to The Holy Spirit, ushers in the presence of God and has impacted many lives worldwide, leaving audiences with an emotional and spiritual experience.
His gift of song ministration is evident in his rich repertoire of performances in various choirs in Ghana, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. Fans are thus anticipating a spiritual manifestation on the new single, ‘Wataban’ (Wings of God), especially as she collaborates with Celestine Donkor. Many who know him across Europe and America, also do so for his collaboration with Israel Houghton for his single ‘Give Me Faith’.
Jesse has proven his worth to Ghanaian fans over the years, with one of his last major performances being the Multimedia Group’s Adom Praiz Festival on November 4, 2022, in Accra.
The gospel minister is currently working on an EP and also planning on a gospel tour in Ghana later this year.
