Jealous wife kills husband’s lover at Koforidua
A 40-year-old woman, Millicent Opoku, was on Sunday evening killed by her alleged lover’s wife at Trom, a suburb of New Juaben South Municipality of the Eastern Region.
According to reports, Millicent Opoku, was clubbed many times with a stick by the suspect – identified as Christiana.
The incidents happened in Richard’s (the man in contention) room at around 11 pm.
Recounting the incident to the police, an eyewitness and co-tenant, Charles Kuma, said at about 11pm on August 2, 2020, he heard struggles next door so rushed there with some others and that was when they found the victim lying helplessly on the floor.

Millicent was rushed to the St. Joseph Hospital, but was pronounced dead shortly on arrival.
Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police Command, Sergeant Francis Gomado, said Police investigators detected the deceased’s face was swollen, with marks of assault and bruises at her back.
He said the ‘weapon’ used has been retrieved from the crime scene but they were yet to make an arrest.
The suspect is currently at large.

It is the second time this year someone has been killed over rivalry.
In January this year, a 46-year- old electrician, Akorli Ameh , aka Obolo, was arrested for allegedly killing a man in his house at Franco Estate at ACP Junction after claiming to have caught him and his wife red-handed having sex. The man aged, about 33, also died on the spot.
