Jackie Appiah Donates Borehole, 10-Unit Public Toilet As Birthday Gift
Renowned actress Jackie Appiah has donated a borehole and a 10-unit water closet public toilet to the people of Ejisu-Abenkro in the Ashanti Region.
Jackie, who hails from Ejisu-Abenkro, as part of her 39th birthday celebration, decided to show a kind gesture to the residents of her hometown.
The commissioning of the facilities was graced by her biological mother, other paramount chiefs in the region and some of her friends.
In addition, she also donated gifts such as mattresses, school bags, food, soft drinks, and toiletries to students in various schools.
The Best Actress in a Leading Role at the 2010 Africa Movie Academy Awards expressed gratitude to the people of Ejisu for their love, support and encouragement.
“The joy in my heart today stems from the smiles and happiness on the faces of the people of this great community and, more profoundly, because this is my homeland,” she said.
“As today coincidentally marks my birthday, I feel a sense of fulfilment seeing how the Jackie Appiah Foundation continues to impact lives through its several projects in different parts of the country. Today, commissioning this ultra-modern toilet facility and an electric borehole here gives me reasons to do more and even better for society.
“Let me also state that this is just the beginning of numerous good things to come as this Foundation is committed to supporting this and other communities to meet its future aspirations for development. Let’s develop a good maintenance culture to the facilities to give them a longstanding and long-lasting lifespan.
“I thank you all for your cooperation, and assistance from the inception of these projects through to the end. I can only say long live Abenkro, Long live Ashanti Region and long live Ghana. God bless you all,” she concluded.
On her Instagram page on Thursday, December 8, 2022, Jackie Appiah shared a video on how she celebrated her 39th birthday at Abenkro.
