It is difficult to accept GoldStars defeat – Aboubakar Ouattara

Hearts of Oak coach Aboubakar Ouattara has expressed his frustration following a tough 1-0 loss to Bibiani GoldStars, a result he finds hard to accept.

The defeat took place at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Sunday during Matchday 8, with Samuel Attah Kumi netting the only goal after Hamza Issah missed a penalty.

In his post-match comments, the Ivorian coach acknowledged the disappointment felt by fans and the team.

“The reaction of the fans is normal. We understand, that when things don’t go well, the reaction is like that,” Ouattara said.

“Today, to be frank, that defeat is difficult and it’s not easy to accept for the fans, for us for the players and we ask them to continue to follow the team,” he added.

Following this setback, Hearts of Oak now find themselves in 12th place on the league table with only 9 points. They will next face Medeama SC in Matchday 9 at TNA Park.
