”It is a big lie”- IGP rebuts Bugri Naabu

Daniel Bugri Naabu has come under sharp rebuttal from Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, the Inspector General of Police, IGP, in the case of the leaked tape. ”It is a big lie” the IGP stated.

The IGP told Parliament’s Committee of Inquiry he had no working relationship with the former Northern Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, let alone commission him to lure other senior police officers into a conversation that was to be taped.

The challenge now facing the Atta Akyea-led committee is how to establish proof that disproves denials and affirms statements. It is fluid as the investigative body is being investigated with the IGP and some senior police officers as witnesses before the committee in parliament.  Unprecedented case in Ghana.
