I’m sorry – Comedian OB Amponsah apologises for his ‘corrupt Mahama’ joke
Comedian OB Amponsah has apologised for his recent joke about former President John Dramani Mahama.
The doctor-cum-comedian during his performance at the Decemba 2 Rememba concert made light of many things including names and meanings as well as the impact of names on people.
At this point, the comedian mentioned the name of the former President and 2020 Flagbearer of the NDC John Mahama.
According to him, the name Mahama is synonymous with corruption in language Hausa.
This joke, however, did not go down well with a section of the public who took to social media to criticise him.
As the public anger raged, the comedian took to his Facebook page to render an apology for his joke.
