The Ministry of Health (MoH) has urged the public to disregard the notice on the recruitment of general nursing applicants.

A statement from the Public Relations Unit of MoH dated Monday, March 11, 2024, stated categorically that the ministry has not made any such public announcement and entreated the public to ignore the viral notice dated March 10, 2024.

“It has come to the notice of the Ministry of Health (MoH) that there is a public announcement dated 10th March 2024 in the mass media (print, electronic, and new) about the recruitment of general nurses by the Ministry.

“We wish to state categorically that the Ministry did not make the public announcement in reference and should, therefore, be ignored.

“The general public is entreated to take note that the Ministry does not charge any fees for the recruitment and posting of health workers,” the statement added.

The statement further urged prospective applicants to refrain from making any payments to “individuals or groups” regarding the recruitment notice.

Subsequently, the Ministry stressed that it has made “significant progress in the process of recruiting more general nurses and other health workers into the health sector”.
