Ibrahim Tanko hints on possible players’ departure

Accra Lions coach Ibrahim Tanko has hinted his outfit could lose players ahead of the 2024/25 season following their remarkable performance in the just concluded Ghana Premier League season.

Lions finished behind eventual Premier League winners, Samartex, 10 points adrift of the log leaders.

Speaking to Kessben FM monitored by Footballghana.com, Tanko disclosed his outfit could lose four-five players before the start of the new season.

“We know what we are capable off. We know what we can do and what we can’t do. We are not a club that keep players for years. We may lose four or five players before next season”

Meanwhile, he has congratulated the entire for their impressive performance at the end of the season.

“It was a very tough season but to finish second with this young squad tells you there is something good about this team. I will congratulate the team and all the management of Accra Lions. I think the season has been good for us”
