Ibrahim Tanko denies taking Hearts job
Black Stars team B coach, Ibrahim Tanko, has denied reports linking him to the head coach job at Premier League side, Accra Hearts of Oak.
Hearts have been without a substantive coach this season after former coach Kim Grant was fired after a poor start to the season.
Currently, the Phobians are under the leadership of coach Edward Odoom, who was promoted from his assistant coaching role to handle the job in an acting capacity. But a series of inconsistent performances have renewed calls for Hearts to hire a permanent trainer.
Earlier reports on Monday reports suggested the team had hired the service of former Ghanaian international Tanko and former Black Stars skipper, Stephen Appiah, as head and assistant coaches, respectively.
Sports journalist Saddick Adams in a twitter post said Tanko has denied having agreed to any deal and was focused on his current job as Black Stars team B coach.
