I took the opportunity to join Man United as soon as there was a chance- Bryan Mbeumo
Cameroon international Bryan Mbeumo has officially joined English Premier League giants Manchester United after leaving Brentford.
The 25-year-old has signed a four-year deal, with an option to extend for an additional year, for a reported fee of £70 million.
This comes after an impressive 2024-2025 season in which he scored 20 league goals and provided eight assists.
Mbeumo is the latest player to depart Brentford following midfielder Christian Norgaard’s transfer to Arsenal and manager Thomas Frank’s move to Tottenham Hotspur.
In his first interview as a Manchester United player, Mbeumo expressed his excitement about joining the Red Devils, sharing that Manchester United has always been the club of his dreams.
“As soon as I knew there was a chance to join Manchester United, I had to take the opportunity to sign for the club of my dreams; the team whose shirt I wore growing up.”

“I know that I have the spirit and character to reach another level here learning from Ruben Amorim and playing alongside world-class players.”

Bryan Mbeumo will wear the jersey number 19 at Man United.
