American rapper Ja Rule has revealed that he once recorded a song with a Ghanaian artiste over a decade ago, but cannot remember which artiste it was.
Ja Rule made this revelation in an interview with JoyNews on April 1, 2025, ahead of the commissioning of a six-unit classroom block at the Nuaso Anglican Basic School in the Eastern Region.
The project, which he initiated last year in partnership with the non-profit organisation Pencils of Promise (PoP), aims to improve learning conditions for young students in Ghana.

“I did a record long time ago with a Ghanaian artiste, I have forgotten his name but this was like 10 or 15 years ago when I came over here. we recorded in the studio, and it was Dope…Afrobeat is really big right now,” Ja Rule said.
Following his statement, Ghanaian artiste Kojo Cue claimed the said artiste in question is rapper Tinny.
Videos of Ja Rule in a studio with Tinny in Ghana have since emerged on social media. Also, there are rumours that the track was intended to appear on one of Ja Rule’s albums, but the song was never released for unknown reasons.
