I have to pay $10K to clear $10K worth of goods in Ghana – Michael Blackson rants
American-Ghanaian US-based actor Michael Blackson has complained about the huge levy imposed on goods he shipped to Ghana for his family.
The controversial comedian questioned the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) over high-import duties that equalled the original price of goods he shipped to Ghana.

In showing solidarity with Ghanaians, Michael, on his Instagram page on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, wrote that he is ever ready to support the fight of scrapping obnoxious levies.
“This is for everyone from a 3rd world country that has experienced the same situation, I know most of you don’t have a voice but don’t worry I’m with you all and we will fix these issues. I love Ghana 🇬🇭 from the bottom of my heart but I just don’t understand this”.
On his Twitter page, Blackson, in a jovial manner, urged his colleagues and other Ghanaians in other countries to plan to pay more duties on the goods they may be exporting to the country as things have changed in Ghana now.
