‘I have done the most’ – Amerado confident on winning VGMA Best Rapper nod
Rapper Amerado Burner is confident he will win the 2021 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Best Rapper of the Year Award.
The rapper stands against established rappers such Sarkodie, Eno Barony, and label mate, Strongman Burner in this year’s lineup of nominees.
Amerado believes he has been the most consistent rapper in the year under review, therefore, deserves to win the award
“The music industry shut down when COVID-19 came, I was the only person that single-handedly held rap music”.
“I dropped back to back music to entertain Ghanaians. We are awarding artistes in the year under review and not established rappers”.
Amerado has also been nominated for the Best New Artiste of the Year
“I have been nominated alongside Mr. Drew, Kofi Jamar, and Yaw Tog but I am tipping Mr. Drew to win that category because he has worked really hard,”
Overall, Amerado has two nominations in the 2021 VGMA Awards.
“I am very passionate about my nominations but if the unfortunate happens and I don’t win any of the two, my comeback will be stronger and better,” he told Delay in an interview.
The award will be held on Friday, June 25, and Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the National Theatre.
