I foresee African advancement in Ghana-Senegal ties – Akufo-Addo to Senegal’s president-elect

President Nana Akufo-Addo has reaffirmed his commitment to bolstering Ghanaian-Senegalese relations following President-elect Bassirou Diomaye Faye’s victory in the recent presidential election.

In a statement released on Thursday, March 28, President Akufo-Addo extended his heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Faye.

He applauded his resounding victory as well-deserved and reflective of the trust in his vision for economic transformation.

President Akufo-Addo expressed optimism that Senegal will continue progressing under Faye’s leadership and become a beacon of democracy and stability on the African continent.

Additionally, he commended outgoing President Macky Sall for his contributions to Africa’s development and praised his commitment to peaceful, credible, and transparent elections, which he sees as a testament to Mr Sall’s dedication to democratic principles and peaceful electoral processes.
