I don’t know Ebo Noah’s offence but I knew he was creating content from day one – Sarkodie

Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie has publicly reacted to the arrest of Evans Eshun, popularly known as Ebo Noah, a man who claims to be modern-day Noah, instructed to build an ark for God.

The artiste questioned the arrest and suggested that Ebo Noah is only engaging in content creation rather than criminal activity.

In an Instagram story posted on January 2, 2026, Sarkodie shared a video showing Ebo Noah in handcuffs and being escorted into a police vehicle.

The award-winning rapper responded to the video by saying he didn’t know what crime Ebo Noah had committed, but was only creating content.

“Don’t know exactly what my boy’s crime is, but from day one I knew he was making content, unless he’s been charged with something else,” Sarkodie stated, implying that Ebo Noah’s widely publicised prophecy may not have been meant to be taken literally.

Ebo Noah was arrested on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, by the Police after months of nationwide anxiety triggered by his prophecy that a devastating flood would occur on December 25, 2025.

Ebo Noah (born Evans Eshun) is a 33-year-old Ghanaian content creator and self-styled prophet who gained viral attention in late 2025 for predicting a catastrophic flood in Ghana.

Claiming to have received divine instructions, he warned that a three-year global flood would begin on December 25, 2025.

He documented himself on TikTok and YouTube building wooden “arks” in areas such as Elmina and Kumasi to save believers. He claimed to be constructing up to 10 vessels.

According to him, the rains were to begin on Christmas Day, mirroring the biblical story of Noah.

When no flood occurred on December 25, he claimed his prayers and fasting had persuaded God to “postpone” the disaster.

Public outrage intensified after Ebo Noah appeared on stage at Sarkodie’s Rapperholic 2025 concert on December 25, the same day the flood was predicted to begin.

On December 31, 2025, the Ghana Police Service’s Special Cyber Vetting Team arrested him in Weija-Gbawe for spreading false news and causing public fear and panic.

On January 2, 2026, the Adentan Circuit Court remanded him into police custody for two weeks and ordered a psychiatric evaluation at Pantang Psychiatric Hospital.

His next court appearance is scheduled for January 16, 2026.
