I can’t wait for 2022 FIFA World Cup – Ghana and Ajax midfielder Mohammed Kudus
Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus is waiting anxiously for the start of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar later this month.
The 22-year-old will be tasting the global showpiece for the very first time in his football career and wants to play a key role for Black Stars at the tournament.
Ghana makes a return to the tournament after missing out on the 2018 edition in Russia and has been drawn in Group H alongside Portugal, South Korea, and Uruguay.
“I look up to myself for the World Cup. I am always my biggest fan. I can’t wait for it.”
“Regardless of whoever we play and the result, I want fans to see the passion and the fighting spirit that I put in every game because I feel we can have bad days but our energy, determination, and motivation should always be there,” Kudus told TV3.
Kudus has made 18 appearances and scored five goals for the Black Stars.
Ghana will take on Portugal in their first game on November 24 before playing South Korea and Uruguay on November 28 and December 2 respectively.
Black Stars will play Switzerland in an International friendly on November 17, before traveling to Qatar for the World Cup.
