I am suspending acting until Takoradi girls are found –Clemento Suarez

Comedian, Clement Ashiteye, has vouched never to act again until the three abducted Takoradi girls are found.

The comic actor, known in showbiz as Clemento Suarez, said his decision to quit acting until the girls are found is his own way of solidarizing with the families of the missing girls.

In an exclusive interview with The Ghana Report, the comic actor expressed his concern and how ‘badly’ he thinks, the abducted Takoradi girls’ situation has been handled by the security agencies in the country.

According to him, there hasn’t been any information about the whereabouts of the three girls from any of the security agencies and how they are working to reunite the girls with their parents.

“We haven’t heard anything about them, nobody is giving us any information on the update of their whereabouts so I have decided to take a stand and stay back from acting and plan on how to get questions answered and sensitize the people about the whole issue,” he said.

BACKGROUND

Three girls who went missing in Takoradi are yet to be found despite several efforts by the country’s security and intelligence agencies since August last year.

Priscilla Blessing Bentum, 21, was the first to be taken in August 2018. The student left home for choir practice but never returned. Her worried father reported her disappearance to the police 24 hours later. It is now known that she was abducted at Kansaworodo, a suburb of Takoradi.

Four months later, Ruth Love Quayeson also disappeared. The 18-year-old took a taxi ride from her home in Diabene to the Butumagyedu Junction and never returned.

Priscilla Mantebea  Koranchie, 15, was last seen on December 21, 2018. She told her younger siblings she was taking a walk to a nearby town, Nkroful and has since not returned.
