I am not ending my music career now- Amakye Dede
Ghanaian highlife legend, Amakye Dede, has said he does not envisage ending his music career any moment soon.
The “Iron Boy” hitmaker, who has been in the music career for decades, disclosed that he has a new collaboration with Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie.
Speaking in an interview, Amakye Dede said “I started performing live shows in Ghana based on my experience and work in Festac, Nigeria.”
“I’ve been in the music industry for decades, and I’m not ready to stop yet,” the veteran musician said. “The music was in me and I was in the music; no one taught me to write music.”
“I went to audition to join Akwasi Ampofo Agyei’s crew and after singing one of his songs, he hired me on the spot,” Amakye Dede recalled.
“I worked with Akwasi Ampofo Agyei for almost five years, and he taught me a lot. He was my master and I gained his trust because I lived an exemplary life,” he added.
