How armed robbers robbed MzVee in South Africa
Singer MzVee has shared a bad experience she and her team had in South Africa.
The songstress during her long hiatus on the music scene in Ghana took a working visit to South Africa when the unfortunate happened.
According to her, she and her team went into a store to get items for a video shoot and they got robbed.
“I don’t know whether it was because of the bag or something, but they followed us and robbed us of all the dollars we had on us. All the money I was going to use for the project was taken, including our passports,” she said on 3FM.
MzVee revealed that she had to meet the video director, Justin Campos, for the first time at a police station.
Additionally, the team had been given police statements to help them manoeuvre the country, especially at places where they will need to show their identity.
“When we were coming (to Ghana) we had to use the police statements. They stopped us at the airport and we were there for a very long time before we were allowed passage.”
She added that although the experience was a tough one, the people around her motivated her to still push through the adversities.
MzVee released her music video for her song Baby on Friday, August 14.
