Here is the list of insurance companies in good standing
The National Insurance Commission has urged the public to always ensure to verify the authenticity of any insurance entity before conducting business with them.
The Deputy Commissioner of Insurance, Michael Kofi Andoh said the public could verify the company’s authenticity from its official website.
The authority’s concern comes after the police arrested two officials of an unlicensed insurance brokerage firm.
An insurance broker is a specialist in insurance and risk management who acts on behalf of clients by providing advice on insurance with the view to promote the interests of their clients.
The firm was operating under the name Family Fountain Insurance Brokers. A statement from the commission said the company had been operating as an intermediary, with the connivance of an underwriting company.
The two suspects were operating from the premises of the Aayalolo Transport Terminal in Accra Central and served as an intermediary between the unsuspecting insuring public and a known licensed underwriting insurance company.
