Here are the areas to be affected by ECG’s planned maintenance on Tuesday

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) is scheduled to embark on planned maintenance works in parts of the Greater Accra and Western Regions on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.

This exercise is part of ongoing efforts to enhance electricity service delivery across the country.

The company, in a statement, indicated that the exercise will take place between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm in the Greater Accra Region.

Areas expected to be affected include the Mensvic Hotel, the Lancet Medical Laboratory, Ghana Link, Franko Estate, Ofankor, and surrounding communities.

In the Western Region, maintenance works will commence between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm, affecting communities such as Agona, Dupaul, Apremdo, Whindo, Kwesimintsim, Assakae, Mpatado, Adientem, and nearby areas.

ECG has expressed regret over the inconvenience the exercise may cause and appealed to customers to bear with them, as the maintenance is aimed at strengthening and improving the reliability of the power distribution network.

These adverse weather conditions have resulted in fallen trees, damaged roofs, and billboards collapsing onto electrical lines, leading to outages for many customers.

While temporary interruptions often resolve quickly after the storms, repairs for severe damage to conductors and feeders may take more time as their engineers work diligently to rectify the problems.

“We encourage the public to report any instances of fallen or sagging conductors, as well as local outages in their areas. We are working tirelessly to strengthen and maintain a robust distribution network,” ECG assured.

For further updates, ECG advises the public to regularly check their official communication channels.

“You can reach out to us by calling the ECG Call Centre at 0302-611611, visiting your nearest ECG office, or connecting with us on social media at @ECGghOfficial on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation”.
