Hearts to offload 12 players ahead of 2024/25 season
Ghana Premier League giants Hearts of Oak are set to party ways with twelve players ahead of the new season, according to local media reports.
The Phobians endured a torrid campaign last term, finishing 14th in the Ghana Premier League table.
As the new season approaches, the Ghanaian giants are taking the necessary steps to make the team strong as they seek to make impact in the Ghanaian top-fight and FA Cup at large.
Hearts of Oak have reflected on the performance of the team in the recently concluded season and are said not to be happy with the output of some players.
However, the club has decided to sever ties with underwhelming players ahead of the 2024/25 football season.
They have already communicated to twelve players that their services will no longer be needed at the club.
The club will in the coming days announce the departure of players, whose services will not be needed for the new season.
Meanwhile, the Phobians suffered their third straight defeat to rivals Asante Kotoko on Wednesday evening in the Democracy Cup.
The Porcupine Warriors inflicted a 2-1 win over the Phobians at the Accra Sports Stadium to lift the inaugural Cup.
