Ghanaian giants Hearts of Oak have drawn their summer of Dreams FC’s goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi to an end.
The Phobians faced challenges with their goalkeeping in the recently concluded Ghana Premier League campaign.
Despite rotating more than three goalkeepers, the Phobians conceded poor goals leading to their disappointing season.
The Ghanaian giants struggled last season, finishing 14th on the Ghana Premier League standings.
Hearts of Oak identified Agbasi as a perfect signing to fix the club’s goalkeeping woes ahead of the new season. However, they initiated talks with Dreams FC over a possible acquisition of the shot stopper.
But according to sources, Agbasi, who delivered a top class performance for Dreams FC during their Africa campaign is more keen about a move abroad.
Additionally, the shot stopper is said to have sustained an injury that will rule him out of action for several weeks.
This means the Ghanaian giants will have to look elsewhere in the search of a new shot stopper ahead of the new season.
Meanwhile, the Phobians are in talks with Great Olympics goalkeeper Benjamin Asare and Accra Lions’ Andrews Owusu over a possible move.
Agbasi played pivotal role when the Still Believe lads reached the semifinals of the Confederations Cup. He was named as the best goalkeeper in the Africa campaign due to his exploits.
