Hearts of Oak announce the signing of Stephen Appiah Asare
Hearts of Oak have announced the signing of Legon Cities winger, Legon Cities, and Stephen Appiah Asare as they intensify preparations for the upcoming 2024/25 season.
The 28-year-old winger, who joined Cities in the second half of the 2023-24 season, has finalized a reported two-year deal with the Phobians, with the club not confirming the duration of his contract.
His performance at Cities, where he contributed two goals and one assist in 14 matches, caught the eye of Hearts head coach Aboubakar Ouattara.
Appiah Asare has been training with the Phobians for weeks and has impressed the technical team.
Hearts of Oak finally announced his signing on Wednesday afternoon via a statement on their official social media accounts.
“A new chapter begins! We are thrilled to welcome Stephen Appiah Asare to the Hearts of Oak family. Let’s soar together!”
Initially, rivals Asante Kotoko had shown interest in the player, but the move fell through, allowing Hearts of Oak to sign the winger without competition.
