Heartbreak is a sign of weakness, says Glitz CEO Claudia Lumor
Claudia Lumor, CEO of Glitz Africa, has openly shared her perspective on heartbreak, expressing that she views it as a form of weakness.
In a recent interview with Konnected Minds, she stated that she has never experienced emotional trauma as a result of a heart break and believes that to be a sign of weakness.
“Even people I’ve dated in the past can attest to the fact that I’ve never had a heartbreak; I see it as a weakness; I just move on.”
When questioned on the percentage of her emotions, she responded, “probably a ten, twelve percent.”
She added, “I don’t even know if I cry. I just brush things off and move on; I don’t have time to cry over things like that. If I do cry, its about weird little things.”
Claudia recalled an experience she encountered with a friend who was jilted by her fiance days before their wedding, stating that she could not relate to her friend’s grief because she’s not perturbed by such emotional distress.
“I was reaching out to her for a project and I couldn’t get in touch. I called and texted but didn’t respond then one day i run into her at an event and asked where she had been. She told me that her fiance had called of the wedding at the last minute.”
“I was shocked. Are you serious? You’ve been unreachable because some man who was to supposed to marry you let you down. That’s the day i would buy a ticket and go on a holiday! You’re going to stop everything because some man didn’t marry you? Move on, its his loss. if he didn’t marry you, you’re too good for him. Have you looked at yourself in the mirror?”
Known for her resilience and leadership in the African fashion and lifestyle industry, Lumor believes that personal setbacks, such as heartbreak, should be met with inner strength and determination rather than seen as a debilitating experience.
