Headies Awards 2023: Black Sherif wins ‘West African Artiste of The Year’
Ghanaian talented artiste Black Sherif has been crowned the ‘West African Artiste of The Year’ at the 16th Headies Awards 2023, held on Sunday, September 3, 2023, in Atlanta, Georgia.
The ‘West African Artiste of The Year’ category is awarded to artistes of West African descent who made significant contributions to the continent’s music scene during the year.
The ‘Kwaku the Traveller’ hitmaker outfoxed compatriots like Gyakie, Camidoh and others from the West African region.
Black Sherif alias Blacko showed profound gratitude to his African fans, especially his native town, Konongo Zongo, in Ghana.
“Thank you so much to the fans, to the listeners. Thank you, Headies, thank you, Nigeria. Thank you, Ghana, thank you, Konongo Zongo, I love you,” he said.
