He Killed And Said He Is Not Guilty

The Police Inspector who allegedly shot his girlfriend to her instant death has pleaded not guilty at the third hearing of his case at the Asokore-Mampong Circuit Court, near Kumasi.

He is reported to have declared so in a local language which was interpreted by the court. His case assumes full trial in July. It is noteworthy that the court had been a packed house at all three hearings of the alleged murder case.

The crowd had chanted ”We need justice for the slain Maadwoa” and called for the head of the suspect. The policeman at the center of the storm had always been perfectly shielded away from crowds by other police officers on duty.

Love turned sour in April 2023, and the police inspector allegedly pumped bullets from his gun into his lover. She fell and died on the spot. This was an incident captured on CCTV, even though it occurred at night. Huge public interest in this case.
