Hawa Koomson fires Kennedy Agyapong Ahead of NPP Presidential Primary (VIDEO)
The Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development, Mrs. Mavis Hawa Koomson, has pounced on flagbearer hopeful Kennedy Agyapong for constantly inveighing against the policies of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The Member of Parliament for the Awutu Senya East Constituency described Kennedy Ohene Agyapong as an ‘ungrateful’ party member who has failed to appreciate the benefits he has reaped from the party.
Hawa Koomson also lambasted the Member of Parliament for Assin Central for criticizing the incumbent government for purchasing ambulances disbursed to constituencies.
Speaking at a meeting with delegates in the Central Region ahead of the NPP’s Presidential Primary, Hawa Koomson passionately urged the members to rally behind her to vote massively for Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to help the party ‘break the 8’ in 2024.
According to Hawa Koomson, the Vice President has worked with President Akufo Addo for the two terms he has served; therefore, he is the best person to narrate the achievements of the NPP and no one else.
She hilariously added that it is far better for a delegate to vote for Addai Nimo, one of the presidential aspirants in the upcoming presidential primary, than Kennedy Agyapong.
Hawa Koomson further claimed that Mr. Agyapong secured contracts worth millions of cedis and occupied board chair positions himself at the Ghana National Gas Company and his wife at the Ghana Shippers Council.
She admonished Kennedy Agyapong to refrain from the constant attacks on the NPP and rather appreciate the good successes he had enjoyed in the party.
The NPP presidential primary election is slated for November 4, 2023.
The fourth presidential aspirant in the race is the former Minister of Food and Agriculture, Dr. Owusu Afriyie Akoto.
