The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) has issued a notice informing residents of the Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis about an interruption in water supply.
A statement released on Thursday, April 25, attributed the disruption to a power outage at the Inchaban and Daboase Water Treatment Plants.
According to GWCL, the power outage has impacted the plant’s ability to treat and supply water to the affected areas.
The company clarified that efforts to restore the water supply hinge on the prompt resolution of the power issue, for which they are in communication with the Electricity Company of Ghana.
In the statement, GWCL assured customers that “the water supply would resume immediately upon the restoration of power to the treatment plants”.
The management of GWCL in the Western region apologised for the inconvenience caused by the supply interruption.
They emphasised their commitment to resolving the issue swiftly.
