Green Ghana Project Wouldn’t Be Successful Without Public Interest- Jinapor
The Lands and Natural Resources Minister, Samuel Abu Jinapor says he is very grateful to the President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and his Vice Alhaji Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia for their vision, involvement, and dedication towards the Green Ghana Project held on Friday, June 9, 2023.
The Ministry also expressed profound gratitude to the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon Alban S.K. Bagbin and the entire Members of Parliament(MPs) for making time for the tree planting exercise.
The Minister’s comments were contained in a statement signed and released on Monday, June 12, 2023, on behalf of the Lands and Natural Resources Ministry.
Not forgetting traditional rulers, Civil Society Organizations(CSOs), schools, and various agencies, Jinapor indicated that their contributions toward the tree planting exercise are very laudable as these groups always mobilize their members for the tree planting exercise.
The Minister, therefore, urged the public to always nurture the seedlings that have been planted to be beneficial to the environment and humanity.
“Forests, they say, are the lungs of our land, purifying the air and giving fresh strength to its people. The next stage is to protect and nurture the seedlings we have planted. The Ministry wishes to encourage everyone who took part in the planting exercise to nurture the seedlings planted into maturity with collective action, we can make Ghana Green again”, the ending part of the statement read.
