Accra Great Olympics’ Board Chairman, Major (Retd) Amarkai Amarteifio, is optimistic about the club’s bright future as it celebrates its 70th anniversary.
During the anniversary celebration on Saturday, April 20, Major Amarteifio emphasized the club’s potential for greatness. In an interview, he praised the collective efforts of various stakeholders who have propelled the club to its current stature.
The esteemed football administrator commended the dedication of the club’s directors, management, players, technical staff, supporters, and well-wishers, highlighting their crucial role in nurturing the club’s growth and success over the decades.
Major Amarteifio expressed deep gratitude to everyone who has supported the club, especially during challenging times, including sponsors such as MacDan Group of Companies and Blue Jeans.
“I wish to congratulate the directors, management, players, technical team, and supporters and wish them all the best on this occasion,” said Mr. Amarteifio in an interview with the Daily Graphic.
He pledged to foster inclusivity and a shared vision within the club, working closely with all individuals associated with Olympics to propel it to greater heights.
Great Olympics, a two-time Ghana Premier League champion, currently sits 13th on the Premier League log with 33 points in the ongoing 2023/24 season. They are set to face Premier League leaders FC Samartex in the Matchday 28 games at Nsenkyire Sports Complex this weekend.
