GPL: StarTimes promises to improve coverage in 2021/22 GPL Season

Television broadcast rights holders of the Ghana Premier League (GPL), StarTimes, have promised improved coverage for the 2021/22 season.

The pay-TV service provider has promised to improve with a $1 million investment package for the upcoming season.

The firm made this announcement during the launch of the new football season and disclosed that the said amount will be used mostly for production and marketing.

Speaking at the launch of the 2021/2022 season, the marketing manager of Startimes in Ghana, Akorfa Banson, highlighted some of the new innovations Ghanaians could expect from her outfit when the season begins.

“For the 2021/22 season, Startimes will deliver a much bigger television production and broadcast. With our modern Sports Broadcast solutions, we will provide viewers with live player tracking and standing augmented reality graphics that will provide viewers with an ultimate viewing experience” – She said.

The improvement is expected to provide patrons of the Ghana Premier League with the ultimate story-telling experience through the use of modern sports broadcast solutions.

A total of 150 matches will be telecast live this season by Startimes with an average of four/five matches being telecasted live weekly.

The 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season begins on Friday, October 29, 2021.
