WPL 2021/2022: Nominees For Player, Coach Of The Month For January Announced

Four top performers have been shortlisted for the NASCO Player of the Month for January in the Ghana Women’s Premier League. 

These players were shortlisted based on their brilliance in matches played during the period.

The nominated players are Stella Nyamekye of Dreamz Ladies, Fidous Yakubu of Ashtowm Ladies, Supreme Ladies’ Hager Danso, and Princess Owusu of Fabulous Ladies.

NASCO Coach of the Month award 

Meanwhile, four coaches who led their teams to impressive results in January have also been nominated for the NASCO Coach of the Month Award.

Below are the nominees for the Coach of the Month- January:

Yusif Basigi – Hasaacas Ladies

Basigi led Hasaacas Ladies to two wins and three draws in January, scoring eight goals along the way.

The results have taken them three points clear at the top of the Southern Zone table.

Stephen Sarkodie – Ampem Darkoa

Coach Sarkodie led Ampem Darkoa to four wins of their five matches, scoring 14 goals in total, and currently top the Northern Zone by one point.

Edna Quagraine – Faith Ladies

Under Coach Quagraine, Faith Ladies secured one win and a draw out of their five matches played in January.

Prince Acheampong – Fabulous Ladies

Coach Acheampong was also included in the list as his side managed only one defeat in the month under review and scored eight goals.

Both winners are set to be announced on Friday, February 11, 2022.

The winners are expected to receive a television set each from sponsors NASCO.
