The Ghana Football Association has shortlisted top performers for the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League NASCO Player of the Month and Coach of the Month award for December 2021.
These players were shortlisted based on their brilliance in matches played during the period.
The nominated players are:
Franck Mbella Etouga (Asante Kotoko SC):
Etouga has been very instrumental in attack for league leaders Asante Kotoko scoring 5 goals and won 2 MVP awards in the month of January.
Yaw Annor (AshantiGold SC):
Annor has scored four times for Obuasi based side AshantiGold SC in the month of January and one MVP award to his credit.
Umar Bashiru (Karela United FC):
Karela’s Bashiru has scored 4 goals and won one MVP title.
NASCO Coach of the Month Award
Meanwhile, four coaches who led their teams to impressive results in January have also been nominated for the NASCO Coach of the Month Award.
Below are the nominees for the Coach of the Month- January:
Prosper Ogum Narteh – Asante Kotoko
After winning the season’s first coach of the month, coach Narteh is in the race for a double following his team’s unbeaten record in the month of January, the Porcupine Warriors recorded four wins and one draw from five games. The team lies top of the league table after the first round of matches with 37 points
Umar Abdul Rabi – Medeama SC
In January, Coach Abdul Rabi led Tarkwa based Medeama to three wins, two draws and a defeat. The team is sixth on the league log after the first round of matches with 26 points.
Kassim Mingle – Bechem United
Out of the five games played in January, Coach Mingle guided his side to two wins, three draws. The team lies second on the league table with 30 points.
Bismark Kobby Mensah – Karela United
Karela United managed three wins and two draws in January under coach Kobby Mensah. They ended the first round of matches in the seventh position with 25 points.
Both winners are set to be announced by GFA on Friday, February 25, 2022, and will receive a Television set each.
